Sail America and title sponsor West Marine are pleased to bring you a fun regatta for members of the sailing industry. Spend the afternoon and evening of the day before the Industry Conference racing in a fleet of identical J/80s on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay and earn bragging rights to be the fastest in the sailing industry.

All you have to do to participate in the Regatta and get your company?s logo on one of the J/80?s sails is sign up, pay up and show up. J/World will do the rest.

Each boat will be sailed by a skipper and a crew of three plus a J/World professional. The cost per boat is $500 which includes all fees and company logos on the sails. Individuals may join boats in need of crew for $100 a head.

The afternoon event will begin with a briefing at J/World Annapolis at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, June 14 and the gun for the first race will go off at 4 p.m. The fleet will then race short courses until sunset with the hope of getting in four or five races. Handsome regatta gifts will be presented to all participants. Trophies, courtesy of A.G.A. Correa and medals, courtesy of US SAILING, will be awarded to the top three teams. The awards ceremony will take place at the Sailing Industry Conference BBQ at the Overlook Pavilion at Port Annapolis on Tuesday, June 15.
