SAIL Magazine Pittman Innovation Award Winners Announced

Three Sail America member companies take home top honors in major awards competition.

Ronstan, Spinlock and Walker Bay all received outstanding recognition as part of the SAIL Magazine Pittman Innovation Awards which spotlights top new products in the market each year.

Fifteen products were tapped for inclusion in this prestigious competition, three of which included products of Sail America members.

The Cruising Gear award was presented to Ronstan for the Ronstan Boom Tent, a product available in four sizes that provides shelter from the elements in cockpits of boats between 25 and 45 feet.

In the Racing Gear category, Spinlock took home top honors for its ZS Jammer 1014B which features a featherweight carbon-fiber body, replaceable cast-aluminum internal hardware, and can accommodate cordage between 3/8” and 9/16” in diameter, with an ability to hold a maximum load of 8,188 pounds.

Systems category winner Walker Bay won for its Airdock, an inflatable floating platform available in two sizes with a rigid surface that can accommodate off-center loads or serve as dive platform for swimmers.
