Strictly Sail Pacific Making Progress in Search for New Location
Members of the site search committee for Strictly Sail Pacific are reviewing possible new locations for Strictly Sail Pacific that has been held at Oakland’s Jack London Square for the past several years. In the event that anticipated construction around the show site may affect its future availability, committee members have been making progress, exploring alternative show venues. They have been joined by 20 exhibitors and together, have reviewed and considered 15 possible venues. In a recent conference call, the Site Search task force further narrowed down the list of possible venues and recommended further site visits.
Sail America National Show Manager Kevin Murphy is headed to California during the last week of August to conduct site visits and discuss future leases in detail at several different locations. He will make a presentation to the Sail America Board of Directors in September and announce the final decision at the Sail America General Members meeting in Annapolis on October 5.
