Sail America Members Encouraged to Link to Discover Sailing and Sail America Websites
Sail America members need to take advantage of a great resource for additional hot leads by linking their companies’ websites to the Discover Sailing website. Traffic to Discoversailing.com and Sailamerica.com was down, compared to last year, mainly because of the loss of members’ links to the Discover Sailing website.
Sail America Executive Director Jonathan Banks says the organization is working on a search engine optimization project for both websites, which will significantly increase traffic.
“Your willingness to provide us with advertising space on your website or in your publication will help promote Discover Sailing and Strictly Sail shows and will drive business for your company and our industry,” said Banks. “We have made adding the links as painless and as easy to accomplish as possible.”

If you have further questions or need help with this process, please feel free to contact the Sail America webmaster by e-mailing webmaster@sailamerica.com or by calling 203-468-6396, ext. 215.
In another e-mail area, open rates of e-mails to the Discover Sailing list are doing well compared to last year, said Banks. “While there are fewer people receiving the e-mails, they seem to be a more interested group, ready to immediately get more involved in sailing.”
Additionally, high-quality sailing leads also will be generated through Discover Sailing introductory sails at Michigan City Boat Show (Aug 23-26): Newport International Boat Show (Sept 13-16): Seattle Boats Afloat (Sept. 13-16): and the Virginia In-Water Boat Expo & SAILFEST® (Sept. 14-16).
