Performance Sailcraft Europe and Vanguard Sailboats to Become LaserPerformance

Performance Sailcraft Europe and Vanguard Sailboats (producers of well-known brands such as Sunfish & Laser) who joined forces in April 2007, will now come together under the name LaserPerformance. This represents a major initiative for the company as it brings together all the markets across the globe where its products are sold.

“The name LaserPerformance is a great fit for our new global entity, and we are now incredibly well positioned to increase our commitment to developing the sport of sailing”, says David Graham, president of LaserPerformance.

“Leveraging Laser as an integral part of our name was a natural. It’s the best-known name in small boat sailing and represents our dedication to the sport,” according to Chip Wilkerson, vice president of marketing. “The next step was to take a clean, modern look and marry it to a logo that could live beyond our products.” added Wilkerson.

LaserPerformance is the steward of some of sailing’s most-recognized brands including Laser, Sunfish, 420, and the Laser SB3 – Sailing World’s Boat of the Year. LaserPerformance has offices in Portsmouth RI (US), Long Buckby (UK), Melbourne (AU), Middle East (UAE), and Hong Kong.
