ECONOMIC INDICATORS – THE LATEST UPDATES

According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis, experts now expect the economy to grow 4-5% in the next quarter. In addition, the Conference Board reports that consumer confidence rose for the second consecutive month to 52.9 in December, as consumers’ short-term outlooks on both business and labor market conditions improved significantly.

NMBA ANNUAL REPORT REVEALS LATEST MARINE FINANCING DATA

The NMMA has recently released the 2009 NMBA Annual Report which is considered the most comprehensive source for marine financing data in the United States. Divided into two sections, the comprehensive report provides information from banks and those lenders who hold marine loan portfolios.

Information includes bank data relating to retail consumer loan activities and processes, followed by floor plan financing data, along with multi-year histories including loan yields, portfolio performance, duration and more. In addition, stand-alone statistics for the service company segments are included, along with the original survey questionnaire. Economic highlights and an industry overview are also included with a review of relevant trends.
