Site Search Committee Formed to Explore Possible New Venues for Strictly Sail Pacific

As some of you may know, there is a possibility that Jack London Square may not be available for next year’s Strictly Sail Pacific Show. In the event that planned construction around the show site may impact the success of the show, we have been exploring alternative venues in the Bay area for Strictly Sail Pacific.

Sail America has established a site search committee made up of local West Coast exhibitors to assist with the possible relocation of the 2008 show. The committee's main objective is to research and recommend possible new locations for the show. So far, a group of about twenty exhibitors have joined the site search committee and submitted fifteen possible venues. The committee will meet via conference call over the next couple weeks to narrow the list and plan site visits. An RFP will be circulated for input to discuss during the call. Sail America staff will be in the Bay Area in August to visit a short list of venues and continue due diligence.

If you would like to participate on the committee or have suggestions for possible venues, please contact Kevin Murphy at 800.817.7245 or kevin@sailamerica.com
