New Island Packet 460 is Unveiled
Island Packet Yachts has recently unveiled the Island Packet 460, filled with many new luxury features and benefits and scheduled to debut at this fall’s major boat shows in the United States and United Kingdom.
The new two-cabin aft cockpit design by naval architect Bob Johnson incorporates all of the company’s signature elements. With a number of notable new features inside and out, the new 460 is described as an evolution in design from the 440, one of the company’s most popular cruising yachts.
An extended sheer line aft incorporates a traditional transom stern and a large swim platform. The large deck area aft of the cockpit is suitable for sun bathing or on-deck stowage with two storage bins on either side providing space for LPG bottles and gear, and a central hatch opening to a large lazarette. New interior features include a larger aft guest cabin with exceptionally spacious double berth, and a larger navigation station area.
Island Packet 460 Designer Johnson says, “By combining all the features and benefits of its predecessors along with a number of significant new improvements, detail refinements and added visual appeal, I think we can expect continued popularity for this newest Island Packet. Production is already underway and the first shipments are planned for the major US and UK fall shows.”
