Renew Your Sail America Membership by July 1 and Benefit from a 5% Discount or an Easy-Payment Plan!
In recognition of tough economic times, Sail America has extended unchanged rates for membership dues for the 2009/2010 membership year. In addition, members who pay dues in full by July 1, 2009 can take advantage of a 5% discount, or may opt to pay 50% on July 1, and 50% on or before October 1, 2009.
“We recognize that the sailing industry is struggling right now, so we hope the 5% discount will encourage members to renew their Sail America membership on time and save money in the process. If cash flow is tight, members can opt for our two-step payment plan,” explains Jonathan Banks, Sail America executive director.
Membership renewal notices will be mailed this week and members and non-members can renew or join online, by mail, or by fax. Click Here to pay online.
“There’s never been a better or more important time to join and support Sail America,” said Banks. “In the face of the enormous economic challenges our industry is facing, we now need each other more than ever. By working together, we can harness our collective energies and resources to help create a stronger and healthier sailing market.”
MEMBER BENEFITS AND NEW PLANS
Members of Sail America benefit from discounted space rates at Sail America-owned shows, cost-saving affinity programs (e.g. Avis, FedEx, Staples, etc.), free access to a database of over 50,000 sailing prospects, valuable business education opportunities, the latest industry research, ongoing member communications, and regular networking events. Membership dues also support important legislative issues and industry-wide initiatives such as Discover Sailing and Grow Boating.
Going forward, Sail America will focus on creating a stronger sailing presence at boat shows, improving communications with our members, adding membership benefits, creating new membership categories, advocating environmental stewardship, providing ongoing business education, facilitating regional Grow Sailing groups, and energizing volunteers to get involved.
The more Sail America members we have, the more we can do together to strengthen and expand the sailing market.
Please contact Jonathan Banks at jbanks@sailamerica.com if you have any questions about membership or if you would like to learn more about getting involved in any of our new initiatives.
