SHOW NEWS FROM IBEX
The 2010 International Boatbuilders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) which has recently merged with MAATS (Marine Aftermarket Accessories Trade Show) relocates this year to Louisville, KY and is slated to be held September 28-30, 2010 at the Kentucky Exposition Center.
Produced by Professional BoatBuilder magazine (PBB) and the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), IBEX 2010 will feature the latest in boat building technology and marine aftermarket products, and is expected to sport more than 500 manufacturer exhibits.
“To improve the efficiency of marine trade shows, the scope of IBEX needed to change, becoming a must-attend event for the growth and success of ALL marine trade,” noted Carl Cramer, IBEX co-director and publisher of Professional BoatBuilder magazine. “One trade event for OEM and aftermarket parts and accessories will create a more productive environment, reduce exhibitor costs and time, and attract a broader base of attendees to the show.”
Also new for 2010 is an expanded seminar series, specialty pavilions, opportunities for buyer-supplier meetings, free workshops and more. In addition, IBEX will feature its own LinkedIn site for social marketing, and will also host regular news and show updates via Twitter@IBEXShow.
Entries are also being accepted for the 2010 International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference (IBEX) Innovation Awards, one of the marine industry’s most prestigious honors. Winners will be announced during the show’s annual Industry Awards Breakfast on Tuesday, September 28 from 7:30-9:30 a.m.
