Torqeedo adds sales manager

Electric propulsion manufacturer Torqeedo recently added Raychel Brown as a new sales manager. Brown will promote the brand and work to increase sales of Torqeedo's Travel series of electric motors.

"One of my main goals is to increase product awareness by growing the dealership network, which will allow the end user to actually see, touch and demo the motors before they buy them," said Brown. "My primary focus has been introducing the sailing world to this great, clean propulsion option for dinghies and day sailors. Once introduced, many sailors immediately understand the product and consider it a great piece of gear."

Previously, Brown held positions of seminar coordinator for Sail America and director of operations for Fair Wind Sailing School. An avid sailor, Brown is a boat owner and has experience as a crew member on a variety of racing and cruising sailboats.

"Working for Torqeedo is a great opportunity to connect with grass roots sailors and share my sailing knowledge with them," said Brown. "Now I can connect with end users and assist with their non-petrol needs as more US boaters are looking for alternatives to gas outboards."
