SAIL AMERICA WEST COAST MEMBERS MEETING TO BE HELD AT STRICTLY SAIL PACIFIC

Sail America will hold its annual West Coast Members meeting on Friday, April 16 at Scott’s Restaurant during Strictly Sail Pacific in Oakland, CA. A complimentary breakfast will be served at 8 am and presentations will kick off at 8:30 am. The meeting will wrap up at 9:45 am, giving exhibitors sufficient time to get to their booths for the 10 am show opening.

According to Sail America Executive Director Jonathan Banks, the event is designed to bring members up to speed on various association initiatives and market trends. Speakers include Banks who will provide an overview of Sail America’s major initiatives; Sail America President and The Sailing Company Publisher Sally Helme who will present a summary of the State of the Sailing Industry research results; board member and Sail Magazine Publisher John Adams who will share the latest developments regarding the June 2010 Sailing Industry Conference; Latitude 38’s John Arndt who will provide an update on the Bay Area Sailing Renaissance; board member Stanton Murray of Murray Yacht Sales who will discuss future plans for Strictly Sail Pacific; and board member and Latitude & Attitude publisher Bob Bitchin who will outline plans for the new individual membership program. In addition, a question/answer session will be held at the conclusion of the presentations.

“We have an action-packed agenda with plenty of news to share,” said Banks. “There’s lots of exciting initiatives underway to benefit our members and we’re looking forward to a strong attendance at this event.”
