LATE BREAKING UPDATES AND SHOW REPORTS:
ST. PETERSBURG POWER & SAILBOAT SHOW:
This year’s St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show to be held at The Progress Energy Center for the Arts Mahaffey Theater & Albert Whitted Park from Dec. 3-6 in downtown St. Pete is shaping up to be a winner with more than 400 new and used power and sailboats scheduled for on land and waterfront displays.
Show-goers also will enjoy two large air-conditioned tents filled with marine gear, equipment, and accessories -- perfect for holiday shopping. In addition, a variety of entertaining boating and sailing seminars will give adults the chance to discover new cruising adventures or expand their knowledge of life at sea.
Geared to every level of sailor and power boater, high-quality seminars will be presented throughout the four-day boating festival in air-conditioned seminar tents. Produced by Sail America, the seminars this year include best-selling authors and magazine columnists, marine weather experts and adventurous world cruisers. The full schedule of seminars will be posted in early November at the show’s site at www.showmanagement.com.
Of special interest to exhibitors, the addition of a new Leads Generation System was recently announced and is now available on the www.showmanagement.com website. Exhibitors have the opportunity to generate new show leads by providing pertinent information to show attendees. Advance ticket purchasers now complete an online survey regarding the type of boat or accessory they are interested in seeing at the show. Show Management then forwards a list of exhibitors who match these requirements, with links to the exhibitors’ show site. Leads are graded by Show Management based on click through activity, with a value of 5 or lower of lesser value than those rated 6 or higher. Exhibitors may log on to their account and view their unique leads detail by clicking on the name or date of the lead. Exhibitors also have the ability to forward the lead directly to a salesperson or contact by e-mail, or may save or delete the lead upon viewing.
“If your listing on our website is lacking in details and photos the prospect will have less information to use in determining if your boat/product will be of interest,”: said Paul Brown of Show Management. “We encourage exhibitors to submit all the required information, as it will help to make the prospect’s score as accurate as possible.”
