NMMA & SAIL AMERICA HOST ALL-NEW WEBINAR PROGRAM
This October, the NMMA and Sail America launched the first of its all-new “Webinar” programs on social marketing as part of its comprehensive membership benefits program. Click Here to view a recording of the “Social Media for the Boating Industry” webinar.
According to Carl Blackwell, NMMA chief marketing officer, the association is striving to find ways to add even more value into the association membership.
“Our inaugural event, Social Media for the Boating Industry, was well received, with 250 people registered including 40 Sail America members,” he said. “What was most encouraging for us was that 98 percent of the participants voted yes to the question of whether or not they would return for future webinars.”
NMMA will offer webinar programs once a month, and may increase frequency based on member feedback. Topics will be broad, ranging from marketing to certification, based upon member demand.
Next on the agenda is a webinar entitled, “Using the Internet to Increase Sales” for November 10 at 1 pm EDT, or noon CST. Blackwell says the Internet is now the first and primary source for information gathering prior to a significant boating purchase. Presenter is John Trkla, founder and CEO of Red Oak Marketing, who will address intelligent and efficient best Internet sales practices, along with how to offer real time satisfaction of incoming website requests.
