Locally known by many as the “Southern Sailabration of Sail,” attracting sailors from across the Southeast, Strictly Sail St. Pete is one of Sail America’s premier events and will be held at Spa Beach at The Pier, St. Pete, FL, Nov 1-4.
The 2007 show will display more than 60 boats, launching a lineup of new 2008 industry models that include industry leaders Beneteau, Seawind, Catalina, Hunter, Island Packet, and many more. New debuts include:
U.S Spars will debut its recently launched rigging products; Air Breeze will introduce the most powerful wind generator in its class; Folding Porta-Bote will introduce its latest hull that folds to four inches flat; and Railriders clothing, will debut its adventure technical apparel at the St. Pete show.
Over 150 exhibitors will display the latest sailing gear, charter destinations, electronics, and cutting-edge technology for mariners. An extensive seminar program includes more than 100 seminars from global sailors, authors, and experts in navigation, software and marine equipment. Gill will feature its new Breathable Boots and high-performance marine apparel.
Newcomers to sailing can hop aboard a variety of boats ranging in size from 21 foot to 44 foot for a free Discover Sailing sailboat ride. Each year, Sail America’s Discover Sailing program helps introduce thousands of newcomers to the sailing lifestyle.
Eric Stone and his band will be on stage daily, playing the latest island tunes as they entertain exhibitors and attendees alike. On Saturday night, the surge of sailors will only grow bigger as the sun goes down and the annual Latitudes & Attitudes Cruisers’ Bash swings into gear. The party, included with Saturday’s admission, includes free pizza and beer while they last.
