Island Packet Yachts and Beneteau USA Honored by NMMA for Outstanding Customer Satisfaction at IBEX

Sail America members Island Packet Yachts and Beneteau USA were among the 64 boat and engine manufacturers honored by The National Marine Manufacturers Association for excellence in customer satisfaction as part of the association’s Customer Satisfaction Index program during an industry breakfast Oct. 12 at the 2007 International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference in Miami Beach, NMMA said in a press release. This recognition honors recipients that were announced in July.

“We’re acknowledging CSI award recipients at IBEX to further communicate how important it is to meet customer needs if we’re going to grow recreational boating,” said Thom Dammrich, NMMA president. “The CSI award recipients represent some of the ‘best of the best’ our industry has to offer.”

The Marine Industry CSI Awards program honors participating companies actively measuring customer satisfaction to pursue continuous improvement. Award recipients achieved and maintained an independently measured standard of excellence of 90 percent or higher in customer satisfaction over the past year, based on information provided by consumers purchasing a new boat or engine during the period between April 2006 and March 2007. Participating manufacturers must survey all new boat buyers during this period.
