COMING SOON: SAIL AMERICA GENERAL MEMBERS MEETING IN ANNAPOLIS!

All Sail America members are invited to attend the association’s annual General Members Meeting during the Annapolis show on Friday October 8, from 8 – 10 am at the new Marriott Hotel location at 80 Compromise Street.

Keynote speaker Neil Schwartz of the SGMA will review sailing participation trends and will report on a recent State of the Industry survey about how to grow sailing participation, while board members will give an update on Sail America’s latest plans and initiatives. Winners of the new “Best in Show” awards will also be revealed.

“It’s going to be a very action-packed meeting and one every member of the sailing community should attend,” said Jonathan Banks, executive director. “There will be a report on the industry segment focus groups, updates on boat shows by show producers NMMA and Show Management, as well as an important announcement about Sail Strictly Sail Pacific. John Burnham will provide a positive financial report and Sail America and the United States Sailboat Show will announce the Best in Show awards. It’s definitely a ‘must attend meeting!”

The event is free and open to both members and non-members alike and breakfast is provided.

The General Members Meeting is sponsored by Show Management and the United States Sailboat Show.
