SAIL AMERICA’S 2011 SAILING INDUSTRY MEETING

Don’t miss one of the most important industry gatherings of the year; Sail America’s 2011 Annual Sailing Industry Meeting, which will be held in Annapolis on October 7.

The meeting will be held in the Chesapeake Ballroom at The Marriott Hotel from 8:00 to 9:45 am. A complimentary breakfast, sponsored by the United States Sailboat Show, will be served at 8:00 am and the meeting will kick off promptly at 8:15 am.

“We decided to rebrand the event as the ‘Annual Sailing Industry Meeting’ to encourage greater participation by show exhibitors and to reflect the broad content we plan to cover at this and future meetings,” explained Jonathan Banks, Sail America executive director. “Thanks to the generous support of the United States Sailboat Show and The Sailing Company, we will be holding the meeting in the Chesapeake Ballroom at the Marriott Hotel, which is conveniently situated right next to the show. The meeting will be fast-paced and informative. And we promise to finish on time this year.”

This year’s event includes a complimentary breakfast and business networking, along with industry news and presentations. The highlight of the meeting will be the worldwide debut of the new Discover Sailing video. The meeting will also cover Sail America’s plans for the coming year, including a new consumer website, the 2012 Sailing Industry Conference, boat show plans, and the new Sail America Village concept. One of the highlights of the meeting will be the announcement of the winners of the BEST IN SHOW AWARDS, which will be judged onsite prior to this event.
