Sept 27, 2005, Middletown, RI – Sail America members will have a chance to meet new Executive Director Scott Evans on Friday, Oct. 7 at Sail America’s General Meeting in Annapolis, MD. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend this breakfast meeting from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. at Phillips Annapolis Harbor Seafood Restaurant at 12 Dock St., adjacent to the City Dock.

Traditionally, the General Meeting is a chance for members to review Sail America programs and gain updates, including the Strictly Sail show, Discover Sailing educational initiatives and marketing and communication programs.

Evans plans to discuss his vision and ideas for Sail America and to discuss new initiatives he would like to launch with members’ support. "I think we’re at a pivotal time in Sail America’s history with a great opportunity to develop several new initiatives that will expand our influence in the sailing industry," Evans said. "I’m very much looking forward to meeting Sail America members. I want to hear their ideas and feedback, which will ultimately help determine where our future resources and energies should be focused and directed."
